Matapedia Tourism Website (For Showcase Only)
This website redesign concept for the village of Matapédia showcases my passion for creating tourism-focused websites that highlight special communities and inspire travelers. As someone born and raised in Matapédia, I wanted to capture the heart of this beautiful place with its rich history, outdoor adventures, and welcoming spirit. My goal was to strike a balance between visual appeal and informative content, emphasizing Matapédia's unique offerings for visitors.
To enhance discoverability, I used concise, keyword-rich text (examples: "Matapédia salmon fishing," "Restigouche River kayaking," "Mi'gmaq heritage") alongside compelling images that showcase the region's beauty. Practical features like an interactive map and events calendar (sample content) provide visitors with essential information. Finally, the footer reinforces accessibility while adding contact details and legal links for a professional, optimized experience. Also created in light & dark mode.
